Rudolph Goodie Sacks

Fold 1/3 of a brown lunch bag down. Fold in the sides of this section so that it forms a triangle. Glue on wiggly eyes and a red pom pom to create the face. Have students trace and cut out their handprints using gray or brown construction paper. Glue these to the top of the bag. The bag may be used to hold small gift items.

Gingerbread Men Ornaments

Cut the gingerbread men from brown or tan construction paper, or paper grocery bags, doubled (so there will be a front and a back). On the front glue two eyes (or draw them if you prefer), a black nose, a red smile and three black buttons down the front. Glue front and back together, around the edges, leaving an opening large enough to insert a small amount of crumpled tissue paper. Crush the tissue paper into a slightly flattened ball and sprinkle with crushed cinnamon. Stuff the tissue in the gingerbread man and finish gluing around the edges. Tie a thin black ribbon around the gingerbread man's neck. For the finishing touch, punch a small hole in the top of the ornament and string a piece of thread or ribbon through the hole and knot it. (Use the small, moveable, plastic eyes from a crafts store.)

Pretzel Picture Frames

On a large piece of wax paper, squeeze a circle of glue (the size you want the frame). Make sure you use lots of glue! Place the pretzels in the glue to form a circle. You may then sprinkle colored glitter (optional). The frame dries in approximately three days. You may then add a picture of the child in the middle. Attach a ribbon to hang the ornament.
